Social Networking Websites

What is it?

Social networking websites reflect the relationships between individuals and the various social circles that connect them. Users are encouraged to post personal information (e.g. pictures, journals, etc.) and chat with others in real time (e.g. Bebo, MySpace, Facebook, etc.).

Twitter is a social networking service that allows users to send and receive short text-based messages (also known as 'tweets') on their cell phone.

Some social networks have age restrictions in their terms of use (e.g. you must be 13 years of age or older to use Facebook and MySpace) while others are open to anyone.
